I’m the Sales Manager

When did you start working for Ramada Plaza Liege?

I started on the 13/08/2018

How did you get to where you are now?

I studied Hotel Management in Middelburg (the Netherlands) and started my career in The Sheraton Sky Line hotel (4-star hotel) in London, as chief steward. I had to leave London because it became too expensive. I came to Belgium, Brussels, were I worked in several hotels of the Accor Group and several years at the head office of Accor at the Sales and Marketing department. For the past 10 years I have been working as an office manager for the Thomas Cook group

What do you work on, on a daily basis?

As a Sales Manager your day is never the same, but the following has to be done:

  • Follow up important leads
  • Giving site inspections
  • Sales calls (new) companies
  • Contracting new companies
  • Extending existing contracts
  • Account Management
  • Mailings
  • Exhibitions

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

The contact with the different people and the variety in our job

What do you do for fun outside of work?

I love to take long walks. I try to play hockey on a regular basis. I also like reading a good book with a good glass of wine.

Three words to best describe you:

Ambitious, humorous, punctual, perfectionist dedicated, honestly omg that’s more than 3 😊

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Always look on the bright side of life, as life is already so short!

I can’t surprise anyone as I’m an open book. 😊
