Liège is a well-known city at the cycling level. Several major events took place in the province such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La flèche Wallonne, The TRW and the Tour de France passed once again this year by Liège. There are of course numerous amateur races organized in the region.
More and more guests come with their bicycles and this is why the Ramada Plaza Hotel has provided its guests with a parking area with 32 bicycle spaces. This corner is also equipped with electrical outlets. Nothing like visiting the city by bike, riding along the Meuse or on our Ravel.
We propose you a beautiful 25 km from Liège to Maastricht.
From the start in Liège at the foot of the Passerelle bridge in the district of Outremeuse and up to the border with the Netherlands, the stage is in own site. You will ride sometimes on the RAVeL of Meuse, sometimes along the Albert Canal.
You follow first the right bank of the Meuse to the Pont Atlas, then you pass on the left bank to the Monsin Island. You are then on the RAVeL of the Albert Canal, on the left bank. You pass close to Herstal, then Oupeye.
Arriving at the Hermalle-sous-Argenteau Bridge, you leave the RAVeL of the Albert Canal and you cross the RAVeL of the Trilogiport to join the left bank of Meuse at the Euregio motorway bridge. You follow the RAVeL of Meuse along the Isle Robinson to Visé, ideal place to take a break. A little further, a footbridge allows you to cross the dock of l'Aiguillon and reach the harbor master's office.
Continue on the RAVeL on the left bank of the Meuse and pass close to Lixhe. Arriving at Lanaye, you cross the village and take a link on a small kilometer. It takes you on the RAVeL of the Albert Canal, on the right bank.
Just after the Lanaye lock, turn right along Rue Collinet towards Petit-Lanaye and Maastricht on the left bank of the Meuse.
